TechShortened MC-21 version to take to the skies in August 2028
Production of the first components for a shortened version of the MC-21 aircraft is underway, Irkutsk Aviation Plant Director Andrey Soinov says. The plant plans to fly the aircraft in August 2028. Russia’s Industry and Trade Ministry previously contracted Yakovlev to complete research and development for the version by the end of 2028.
