TechEthereum’s next scaling leap may come from ending duplicated work

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin says advances in cryptography could turn decentralization from a performance cost into a scaling advantage. His long-term “cryptographic world computer” vision would distribute computation and data among specialized participants while using compact proofs so other nodes can verify results without repeating all the work.
