Beijing recorded 8.783 million tourist visits during the three-day Mid-Autumn holiday from Sept. 25 to 27, generating 11.54 billion yuan ($1.72 billion) in tourism spending, according to the city’s culture and tourism bureau. Inbound visitors numbered 83,000 and spent 780 million yuan. Popular sites included the Olympic Park and Wangfujing, while 951 commercial performances attracted about 390,000 spectators.
