Nepal’s peak tourism season has been badly disrupted as the country recovers from catastrophic floods that killed more than 1,450 people and destroyed key highways. Tourists have cancelled trips even to unaffected areas, leaving guides, drivers, hotels and roadside sellers with sharply reduced incomes. About one million people depend on tourism for their livelihoods.
