In rare access to Yemen’s conflict zone, the BBC travelled with pro-government forces from Taiz through checkpoints to the boundary between Houthi-held territory and no man’s land. Saudi-backed forces are fighting to push back the Houthis, and strikes followed about 10 minutes after the crew left the front line.
