New South Wales will establish a Sexual Assault Survivors’ Legal Service through Legal Aid NSW. The $1.74m pilot will offer free advice on criminal proceedings, survivors’ rights during police investigations and prosecutions, and access to victims’ compensation, aiming to give survivors more information, autonomy and choice.
