SportsIrish pubs refuse to screen Israel match in protest over Gaza war
Pubs across Ireland are refusing to show the Republic of Ireland’s Nations League matches against Israel in protest at what one owner calls Israel’s “genocidal war” in Gaza. A Dublin publican counted about 140 participating venues in Ireland and abroad. Polls found 76 percent of Irish football supporters opposed the fixture, but the FAI voted to proceed.
