TikTok and parent company ByteDance will pay Alabama $100 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that the platform was deliberately designed to make children addicted to its features. The agreement requires a two-hour daily limit for children, restrictions during nighttime and school hours, stronger age verification and parental controls, and alerts about suspicious interactions. The payment could rise to $300 million if the terms are not met.
