WorldEU unlocks more than €710m in humanitarian aid for Africa and crisis-hit regions
The European Union plans to release more than €710m for people affected by crises, natural disasters and conflicts, with most of the package directed to sub-Saharan Africa. Funding will address migration, conflict, food insecurity and climate shocks, support Ebola responses in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and aid vulnerable populations in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon and Ukraine.
