SocietyBelleville gathers for Porchfest after synagogue shooting

Residents of Belleville, Ont., joined the annual neighbourhood Porchfest on Saturday, with this year’s festival also serving as a show of support for the community after last weekend’s shooting outside a synagogue. The attack occurred on Yom Kippur, seriously injured a police officer and left the gunman dead.
