OtherNor’easter brings strong winds, coastal flooding and high waves to East Coast
An early-season nor’easter was moving slowly north on Saturday morning about 200 miles east of the Delmarva Peninsula. Wind gusts reached 74 mph in Surf City, New Jersey, while other Jersey Shore stations recorded at least 60 mph. Waves of 16 feet or more were reported, and coastal flood alerts remained in effect from eastern Virginia to southern Maine.
