Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has ordered an immediate ban on operating, offering, brokering and advertising fixed-odds sports betting, saying the move is needed to stop families falling into debt. Congress must approve the order within 120 days for it to remain in force. Rival Flávio Bolsonaro called it an electoral measure.
