WorldTyphon systems to be stored at US Kadena base after Japan drills, Defense Ministry says
Japan’s Defense Ministry says Typhon missile systems used at Kanoya Air Field during exercises in June and September will be moved by C-17 aircraft to the US Kadena base in Okinawa for storage by mid-October. The US says this is not a permanent deployment in Japan. Russia has demanded their withdrawal, calling the drills a threat to its regional interests and security.
