ScienceAngola’s Caculo Cabaça Hydropower Station

The Caculo Cabaça Hydropower Station on the middle Kwanza River, 230 kilometers from Luanda, is Angola’s largest hydropower project. After construction uncovered ancient settlement remains and burial sites, China Energy Engineering Corporation formed an international archaeological team in 2019 to conduct research and preservation work.
