TechChina’s Kubuqi renewable energy base reaches key construction milestone
All four indirect air-cooling towers at the supporting coal-fired power project in the northern section of China’s Kubuqi renewable energy base in Inner Mongolia have been topped out. The 10-million-kilowatt base is also building wind, photovoltaic, solar-thermal, storage and ultra-high-voltage transmission facilities, and is expected to send about 40 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region when completed.
