TechIs solar’s growth finally slowing in the US?

US electricity use continued to rise during the first seven months of 2026, but was up just 2 percent from the same period a year earlier, compared with 3 percent growth in the prior-year comparison. Electrification is adding demand, while efficiency gains and data centers generating their own power may be limiting what appears on the grid.
