TechSony and UMG sue Suno again over alleged ‘model laundering’

Sony and Universal Music Group have filed another lawsuit against Suno, alleging that its v6 model still infringes their copyrights because it was trained on user outputs from earlier models built with unlicensed music from YouTube and elsewhere. The labels call this “model laundering” and argue that Suno’s models remain rooted in unauthorized copies unless the company starts over completely.
