CultureTour Montparnasse renovation halted amid owners’ disagreements

Renovation of Paris’s controversial Tour Montparnasse has been halted after more than three-quarters of its private co-owners rejected the first phase over disputes about the plans and rising costs. The project’s estimate has more than doubled to €800m, while some owners hope to negotiate a smaller alternative before the building permit expires.
