Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, Ethiopia and Djibouti have agreed to develop a $660m petroleum pipeline and storage project. The 120km link from Damerjog port to Dewele, alongside about 400 million litres of storage, is expected to operate within 18 months. It should cut fuel deliveries to Addis Ababa from five days to one, strengthen Ethiopia’s energy security and bring more jobs and port activity to Djibouti.
