TechLightning Labs discloses critical bug that could mark canceled invoices as paid
Lightning Labs disclosed a flaw in older Lightning Terminal software that could record a canceled Bitcoin Lightning payment as settled after the funds returned to the sender. Merchants relying on the invoice status could release goods or credit without payment. The bug did not affect Bitcoin’s base chain, and fixes have shipped.
