TechGoogle’s first orbital data center test launches October 1

Google will launch its MVP experimental satellite on October 1 to test the vision behind Project Suncatcher, a proposed constellation of orbital AI data centers. About the size of a refrigerator, it carries four custom Google TPUs and solar panels producing roughly one kilowatt. Planet Labs supplied the spacecraft.
