The UK government will reduce monthly payments to Homes for Ukraine hosts from £350 to £100 and cut local-authority funding from £5,900 to £3,300 per arrival from 1 January 2027. Refugees and hosts fear the reduction could end some arrangements and leave Ukrainians without somewhere to live.
