ScienceNASA chief concerned China may deny access to parts of the lunar South Pole

China has delayed its Chang’e 7 robotic mission to early next year. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the mission was targeting the Shackleton crater at the lunar South Pole, a highly coveted area whose permanently shadowed “cold traps” may contain water ice and other useful materials.
