EconomyXizang leads China in rural per capita income growth over 13 years
Rural residents’ per capita disposable income in southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region climbed from 5,698 yuan in 2012 to 23,184 yuan in 2025, averaging 11.4% annual growth, the fastest rate nationwide. During 2021-2025, the region invested 25.46 billion yuan in agriculture and animal husbandry and provided 61.25 billion yuan in rural revitalization subsidies.
