SocietyEx-National Gallery of Victoria employee allegedly stole $8m to buy phones for resale
Victoria’s anti-corruption commission has charged a former senior National Gallery of Victoria employee with seven theft counts and one count of misconduct in public office. He allegedly used a gallery account to buy about $8m in mobile phones between September 2019 and September 2025, then sold them for personal gain. He is due in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 20 October.
