Veteran Chinese actor and National Theatre of China first-class artist You Benchang died of an illness in Beijing on Wednesday morning at age 93. He was widely known for playing the Buddhist monk Ji Gong in the 1985 television series and had worked in the performing arts for more than 70 years.
