CultureMid-Autumn Approaches: Jinfeng Temple
Jinfeng Temple stands on Jinfeng Mountain, three kilometers west of Ya’an in Sichuan, overlooking the Qingyi River. First built during the Tang dynasty and rebuilt in 1403, it later gained two pavilions. The temple preserves calligraphy by Mi Fu and Huang Tingjian and scroll paintings, and became a Sichuan provincial cultural relic protection unit in 2007. It offers a tranquil high vantage point for viewing the Mid-Autumn full moon.
