TechTencent launches payment app for foreign travellers ahead of APEC summit

Tencent Holdings launched TenPayGo on Thursday, a mobile payment app for foreign visitors, as it seeks a share of China’s expanding inbound tourism market before the APEC summit in Shenzhen. Developed by the WeChat Pay team, it lets international travellers pay at tens of millions of shops, restaurants and attractions by linking credit cards or home-country digital wallets.
