ScienceChina’s FAST marks 10th anniversary with major astronomical advances
China’s Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, or FAST, marked 10 years since completion and has become one of the world’s leading astronomical observation facilities. Experts gathered in Guizhou to review its progress. The telescope has generated major findings on pulsars, neutral hydrogen galaxies, fast radio bursts and gravitational waves, with related work recognized by Science and Nature. A second phase will expand its capabilities.
