WorldDrone sighting briefly closes runways at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
Berlin Brandenburg Airport briefly suspended operations after a drone was spotted nearby. Germany’s air traffic control agency, DFS, closed the northern and then southern runway before lifting the restrictions at 9:05 p.m. Controllers recorded 28 drones at the airport in the first half of 2026, prompting seven suspensions of arrivals and departures.
