Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov reaffirmed support for Havana’s demand for an immediate and complete end to the US trade, economic and financial blockade, including its recent extension to energy. Meeting Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, he also called for Cuba’s removal from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism. The two sides agreed to deepen their strategic partnership and coordinate positions at international forums, especially the UN.
