Russia is again considering fees on international data traffic exceeding 50 gigabytes per month over 5G, according to sources cited by the BBC Russian Service. A telecom source said the measure is intended to target VPN services outside Kremlin control. It could begin October 1, though operators say the date and amount remain undecided. Russian 5G currently covers 16 cities and works only on Android devices.
