Russian exports to Egypt increased 15.6% year on year in the first seven months of 2026 to $5.9 billion, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Roman Chekushov said. Officials discussed streamlining trade procedures, a possible free trade agreement, new logistics routes and localizing Russian companies in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone.
