TechAfter multiple deaths and injuries, NHTSA investigates comma.ai

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating aftermarket devices that augment vehicles’ advanced driver-assistance systems. Its defect investigators identified five crashes involving comma.ai-equipped vehicles hitting stopped or slow-moving cars; two crashes killed three people, while four of the five injured 11 people, some seriously.
