TechSolana moves Alpenglow into testnet as SOL nears January highs
Solana has started deploying Alpenglow on testnet, bringing its planned consensus overhaul into public testing. The upgrade replaces on-chain validator vote transactions with Votor and targets finality of about 150 milliseconds, versus roughly 12.8 seconds today; Rotor will follow later. SOL recently approached $120 as tokenized assets and trading activity on the network expanded.
