Germany’s motoring association ADAC says a rule allowing fuel stations to raise prices only once a day at noon has failed to ease costs for drivers and widened the gap between the highest and lowest prices. It is calling for the rule to be abolished and supports a temporary energy-tax cut planned for October 1.
