SportsRefugee taekwondo athlete Al Hinide targets Asian Games gold
Syria-born taekwondo athlete Talah Al Hassan Al Hinide is aiming for gold in the women’s under-49kg event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where she will represent the Olympic Council of Asia’s first Refugee Team. The 18-year-old is one of two team members and its first female Asian Games athlete. She hopes sport can help open a new chapter and support other refugees.
