OtherQantas announces 18-hour direct flights from Sydney to New York

Qantas will launch direct Sydney–New York flights in mid-2028, taking about 18 hours and cutting at least three hours from the current journey via Los Angeles. It will be the second route in the airline’s Project Sunrise expansion, following Sydney–London flights planned for October 2027.
