ScienceChina’s cancer breakthrough shows progress in CAR-T cell therapy
Chinese regulators approved the world’s first CAR-T cell therapy for solid-tumour cancers in June. Developed by a Shanghai-based drug company, it was given a month later to a New Zealander with advanced stomach and small-intestine cancer, the first international patient to receive the treatment.
