Automotive diesel prices in the Czech Republic rose 14.3% in August from July, the biggest increase among EU member states, compared with an EU average of 8.3%. Diesel averaged 49.13 korunas per liter at Czech filling stations. From October 1, the government will cap retailers’ margins and cut the diesel excise tax.
