PoliticsState Duma election turnout reaches 59.68% after 99.89% of ballots processed

Turnout in Russia’s election to the ninth State Duma reached 59.68% after 99.89% of ballots were processed, with 67,279,994 people voting, the Central Election Commission said. CEC member Pavel Andreyev said the high participation reflected voters’ trust in the security, openness and transparency of the voting system, including electronic voting.
