ScienceChina rises to 18th in global education index

China moved up two places to 18th in the education index compiled by the China National Academy of Educational Sciences as of the end of 2025. The index assesses equity, quality, service capacity and sustainable development potential. China ranked fourth among 82 countries in the Global Digital Education Development Index and second in AI-enabled education.
