WorldUkrainian forces strike Russian oil refinery in overnight drone attack

Ukrainian forces struck the Kuibyshev oil refinery in Samara overnight on Sept. 22, with footage showing a large fireball, smoke and flames at the facility. The refinery supplies fuel to Russia’s military-industrial sector and armed forces. Attacks on Russian refineries have become a significant part of Kyiv’s long-range drone strategy, reducing output and contributing to fuel shortages.
