ScienceChina's new synchrotron radiation facility achieves first beam
The linear accelerator at the Hefei Advanced Light Facility in Anhui successfully generated and delivered an electron beam, marking a key construction milestone. The project will next inject the beam into its storage ring for commissioning. Once completed, HALF is expected to support research in materials, life and energy sciences and be open to scientists from China and abroad.
