Residents of Barnham, a Suffolk village of just over 600 people, are considering a symbolic referendum on leaving the United Kingdom in protest against plans to possibly turn a nearby air force base into a detention center for illegal migrants. Local representatives will visit Piddington, which held a similar nonbinding plebiscite, to discuss copying the idea.
