Russia’s updated coal industry program through 2050 targets production of 660 million metric tons and exports of 350 million tons under its demand-based target scenario, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said. The plan calls for developing eastern deposits and production centers, expanding the Eastern Range, strengthening ties with China and India, and increasing supplies to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
