The Verge’s review unit of Apple’s new Mac Studio pairs an M5 Ultra chip with a 36-core CPU, 80-core GPU, 256GB of RAM, and 4TB of storage for $12,299. It is aimed at AI developers and demanding 3D effects work. In testing, it was about 30% faster than a similarly configured M3 Ultra in several CPU and graphics benchmarks, while Cinebench rendering was 63% higher.
