SciencePanda receives world-first treatment to correct crooked jaw
Beixia, a 4-year-old giant panda, has completed nearly six months of orthodontic treatment for an unevenly developed lower jaw. Doctors adapted a human orthodontic approach and used a special device to guide the jaw into position. Follow-up exams found that Beixia can again suck, chew and swallow normally.
