After five days of strong currents and rough seas hampered rescue work, Indonesian authorities began salvage operations to right the capsized Virgo Transport 8 in the Java Sea. Divers recovered the bodies of two men and a woman. Nine people are confirmed dead, 108 survived and 126 passengers and crew remain missing.
