US President Donald Trump says Washington has reached an agreement with Denmark and Greenland granting the United States “permanent control” over security and other needs in Greenland. He said the deal would begin the development of a large military presence, have no expiration date and cost the US nothing. Denmark’s prime minister’s office said it is expected to be signed during the upcoming UN General Assembly and requires parliamentary procedures.
